About

One of Australia’s most highly regarded journalists, Paul’s career spans 20 years of digital, video, TV, and print experience, across some of the most recognised brands in the world.

A natural born storyteller, he cut his teeth on print magazines in his native UK, where he also launched a boutique lifestyle PR and content agency. Headhunted to launch a series of magazines for one of the largest media brands in the Middle East, he decamped to Dubai for 2.5 years before relocating to Australia in 2009.

Since moving Down Under, Paul has worked for all of the country’s top media organisations: overseeing all lifestyle and entertainment content for News Corp’s digital platforms - in addition to steering the creation of its video team - as well as writing weekly for both its top news site, News.com.au and the country’s #1 travel outlet, Escape; managing all entertainment content across two of Channel 7’s biggest daily live shows; and  developing both editorial and native content, including video, for Fairfax; Bauer, Pacific, the ABC, and both Nine and Ten.

His ongoing freelance over the years has seen him work for a literal A to Z of the world’s most recognisable media titles, including the BBC,Yahoo, Huffington Post, Nine, Traveller, Good Health, Conde Nast Traveller, Sunday Life, Executive Style, GQ, Harper’s BAZAAR, Grazia, L’Officiel, the Daily Mail, The Sun, the New York Post, Time Out,  New Idea, Woman’s Day, WHO, OK!, HELLO!, and numerous in-flight publications.

A highly experienced interviewer, during his many years he’s secured exclusives with a who’s who of celebrities, including Hugh Jackman, Jamie Oliver, Chris Hemsworth, Katy Perry, Nigella Lawson, and Julie Andrews.

Over the last few years Paul has parlayed his journalistic experience into consulting and content marketing in the commercial space.  Communication, knowing an audience — and producing world class content tailored to that audience — are the foundations of his skillset.

Recent and current clients include the likes of Amazon Australia, Samsung, Tourism Australia, HP, Elastic, Tip Top, Panadol, DNSW, QBE Insurance, Chemist Warehouse, Woolworths, WWF and more.

His creativity, coupled with an instinctive news sense honed over almost two decades, means that Paul can identify a great story and knows exactly how to tell it - be it online, within the pages of a magazine or newspaper, on a TV, or smartphone screen.
